Design of Pt100

RTD PT100 Temperature Sensor usually exist as a measuring insert which is installed in a termination head. Electrical termination is made in the connection head.

The sensor of a resistance thermometer relies on temperature-dependent electrical resistance. The resistance increases with the temperature and is known as a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC).

PT100 Sensor measuring point can be constructed to enable the exchange of the thermometer in the event of replacement, repair or / and calibration without process interruption.

RTD PT100 Temperature Sensor is mainly made of Platinum (Pt). Filaments are evenly double-wrapped in insulating ceramic skeleton. It is called ceramic element. It has the advantage of fine high-temperature stability. But because of high manual manufacture cost, it always gets weak resistance value.

Applications for RTD PT100 Temperature Sensor

Pt100 Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) detects the temperature based on the change in the value of the resistance. It withstands high vibration and is therefore used in high vibration applications such as refining, petrochemical, power and energy industries. In health sectors, it is used in machines such as freezes, stability chambers, incubators, water baths, humidity chambers, ovens, etc.
