Proximity Sensor
A proximity sensor is able to detect presence of an object without being in physical contact. It achieves this by sensing changes in electromagnetic field when an object comes nearby. Electromagnetic field is emitted by the proximity sensor or the target metallic object (magnetic). When an object is detected by the sensor, it changes its state.
