DEYE Hybrid Solar Inverter
DEYE Hybrid Solar Inverter converts DC power generated by Photovoltaic (PV) into AC power. These inverters can be used with batteries to store excess power generated. DEYE Hybrid Solar Inverter can be programmed to function in the following modes:
Grid-tie mode:
The inverter supplies power giving priority to solar. If the inverter is not able to supply full power, additional power is drawn from the grid.
Hybrid Mode:
Same as grid-tie but stores excess solar energy in batteries. The inverter prioritizes solar, batteries, grid respectively.
Backup mode:
Same as grid-tie when grid is connected, switches automatically to utilize batteries only when there is grid outage

Disadvantages
- Upgrading existing hybrid setup requires re-working on the entire system which is costly
- High capital expenditure during the initial setup especially on backups where batteries are required
