Grades of Stainless Steel
Grade 304:
This is the most popular and cost effective material due to its chemical composition, weldability, mechanical properties and excellent oxidation / corrosion resistance.
Typical applications for 304 include

- Containers and tanks for storing corrosive gas and liquids
Grade 316:
Similar to 304 with additional Molybdenum and nickel. It is more resistant to corrosion in chloride-contaminated product, seawater and acid vapours. 316 offer excellent mechanical and corrosion properties on hot environment.
