Solar Installation Process
Enquiry
We receive customer requests through telephone messages, calls or emails. Our technical sales team engages the customer to understand the requirement including their energy usage patterns, Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) bills and available space where solar panels can be installed.
Survey
Sometimes we offer to visit our customers site to discuss project design and installation. We assess roof space and mechanical integrity to hold solar PV panels, inverters and cable runs
Technical and Commercial Proposal
Once all the technical details are collected, our tendering team prepares formal quotation and shared with the customer for approval / negotiations.
Planning and Permits
In Kenya, it is required to have City Council permit for solar panel installation to ensure safety and professional compliance.
We seek this permit soon as we formally receive formal order from the customer.
Mobilization of Tools and Resources
Our technical team will conduct pre-installation survey to identify access equipment and scaffolding that will be required during installation. This survey also includes kick-off meeting with the customer to align on the installation process and timeline.
Installation
All products and tools are delivered to site 2-3 days before the scheduled date of commencing installation.
During the entire installation period, our project manager keeps track of progress and update the customer on a regular basis.
Commissioning and Start-up
Upon completion, our team will conduct operation and maintenance training to the customer. The customer will be issued with login details for online system monitoring.
All structural and electrical drawing will be provided both soft copy and hard copies.
Post-Installation Support
Any issue that occurs with the system during the warranty period is resolved promptly over the phone or site visit.
We recommend signing service maintenance contract to ensure your system efficiency and longevity.
Payback Periof for Solar Installation in Kenya
Payback period from a solar installation varies depending on several variables. Within 3 – 5 years the solar system shall have paid itself; this is quite impressive because you will expect to use this system for approximately 20 to 30 years.
