Low Voltage Electrical Switchboard

Seamless Process Automation design electrical switchboards for maximum 100kA fault levels. The switchboards are rigorously tested to provide assurance of performance. Our design allows for safe access and intelligent lay-out, including easy front and rear cable access to cubicles, ample cable ways along the entire switchboard length, multiple cable glanding plate entry positions as well as allowable future extensions.

Key features for our Low Voltage electrical switchboards

  1. Mild steel or stainless steel construction.
  2. Degree of Ingress Protection up to IP66.
  3. Powder coating in a wide range of colours
  4. Fixed, Plug in or Withdrawable switchgear can be used.
  5. Front connect, rear connect or double sided configurations.
  6. Current rating up to 7000 Amp.
  7. Form of internal segregation from Form 1 to Form 4b.
  8. Short circuit withstand capacity up to 120kA for 1 second.
  9. Can be built with Arc Fault Containment for an unlimited fault.
  10. Comprehensive range of main products including MCCBs, ACBs, Isolators, Contactors etc and auxilliary devices including KWH meters, voltmeters and ammeters

Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) / Changeover Panels

What are AMF Panels and what role do they play in securing an uninterruptible power supply?

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system is your bridge between mains power and your backup generators. Automatic mains failure (AMF) panels – also referred to as automatic transfer switch (ATS) panels – make the power switch to emergency standby generators in the event of a significant loss of mains power or total blackout. Without AMF panels, generators need to be operated manually and that can mean lost data, potential damage to electrical equipment and huge amounts of disruption.

Design and Manufacture

We design and manufacture our own AMF panels, often as part of a comprehensive automatic standby power solution which links ATS, UPS and standby generators with remote monitoring and associated security and safety features.

AMF board and ATS panels monitor the incoming AC mains supply, activate the standby generator when mains power fails and make an automatic electrical transfer of the building’s load from the mains to the generating set. When the mains supply returns, the ATS panel controls a return to the mains supply and shuts down the generator after a suitable cooling run.
